Architecture is for people. This principle is at the centre of our practice. In serving humanity, architecture participates in the formation of shared social and aesthetic values through which we imagine how we will live together. Over time, the unfolding of spatial and material situations reveals architecture as a social aesthetic that contributes meaning to our lives.
The buildings and spaces we design evolve out of a deep engagement with our clients and with the places where our projects are sited. Collaborating with our clients is an important part of our practice, and we find meaningful ways to involve them in the design process. As time is spent on a particular site, its many layers of complexity and points of discovery come to light. This sustained engagement leads to the emergence of designs that intertwine client and site in imaginative ways.
Our work has been featured in numerous local and international design publications, including Canadian Architect, Azure, Ottagano, Häuser, International Architecture and Design, Luxury Home Canada, and Western Living. The design awards conferred on our work include the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Award in Architecture and the Canadian Architect Award.
